Plug-in Oven Or Hardwired Appliance?
Some ovens are designed for a suitable plug and socket, while other cookers and hobs need a hardwired connection. Follow the exact model instructions rather than assuming the new appliance can use the old connection. An induction hob may have different supply requirements from the appliance it replaces. The existing cable, protection, connection point and isolation all need to suit the intended load.
Where A Kitchen Change Needs More Work
Moving an appliance or adding a separate hob and oven can change the electrical requirements. Electrical connection does not automatically include cabinet alterations, gas disconnection, plumbing or removal of the old appliance. Explain the full kitchen plan before delivery so responsibilities are clear. We do not connect an appliance to an unsuitable circuit simply because it fits the existing space.
